Job Opportunity - Hosting Ops Manager

Sr. Hosting Admin

• 8 to 14 years Experience required
• Experience in web sphere application server server 5.x,6.x is required.
• Experience in configuration of cluster & load balancer.
• Experience with Web logic server administration is a plus.
• Keeping the environments upto date with code retrofits Both production and non-production.
• Performing routine administrations tasks like backups/patches etc.
• Ensuring environment connectivity to all external systems.
• Provide debugging help in case of system issues.
• Experience of iPlanet, Apache, IIS & Scripting.
• Performance tuning.
• Should have good debugging and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of Java development & database
• Process oriented
• Should have good documentation and inter-personal skills
• Maintain a view of global hosting capabilities and maintain the associated solution model
• To understand and maintain a continuous view of capacity and availability of services
• Work with various groups to implement architectures and technologies which provide network, storage and compute facilities to clients
• Work with management when implementing new client services and dedicated architectures to support new business
• Work with the Computing Platforms Architect to understand future data centre requirements and plan for enhancement of existing hosting capabilities to meet these needs
• Work with Market Deployment architects to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements
• Plan the ongoing quality management of the data centre services provided by 3rd parties
• Plan the maintenance of internal data centres to ensure that availability targets are met
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data centre technology and industry developments
• Articulate key aspects of data centre design (e.g., scalability, availability, manageability, robustness, appropriate incorporation of new technology) through models and documentation.
• Assist in creating proposals, including solution alternatives and the identified cost of ownership for individual architectures.
